Character Blog Hop

A big thanks to the lovely Shannon Guymon, for tagging me in this character blog hop. Here, readers get to jump around and discover characters that authors have recently written about, or a character they're currently writing about. You can find Shannon's character post here.

I must say that I've always been impressed with Shannon Guymon's work, so it was flattering to have her select me to join in on the fun. I'm sure you're already familiar with at least some of her many novels, but here's a bit about the author you might not know, from the woman herself:

"I live in the West with my six children and I'm the author of over 30 books - so far. I enjoy the outdoors, reading and being with my children.

I'm a HUGE believer in happy endings. Scarlett really should have been happy with Rhett and it’s a darn shame Leo and Kate didn't float safely into New York on the Titanic. Don't even get me started on Romeo and Juliet. Alas, since I can only control my own imagination, happy endings are found in my Love and Dessert Trilogy, my Love and Trust Trilogy and my Love and Flowers Trilogy. I also write Paranormal Romance under my pen name, Katie Lee O'Guinn."

~ CHARACTER SPOTLIGHT~

So here's a bit about the character I'm highlighting today:

What is the name of your character?

Reese Taylor

When and where is the story set?

Reese is from Texas, but the story takes place in Montana, current day.

What should we know about your character?

Reese is sweet, sassy, and has a sexy southern accent. She's a Pageant girl who defies the stereotype in many ways. This tall blonde is loving, kind, and looks for the best in others. While she is confident and bold and loves to flirt with the guys, at twenty-four years old, Reese has never been in love.

What is the main conflict?

Well, after discovering that an old high school classmate wants her dead, Reese is placed in witness protection on Emerson Ranch. And though a group of good-looking cowboys awaits her, Reese falls for Blake Emerson, the one man too busy with the ranch to give her a chance. Sadly, once the going gets good it's all put at risk when the man after Reese sneaks back into the picture.

What is your character's personal goal?

Reese hopes to find that heart-tugging, long lasting love she is certain exists.

Is there a working title, and where can we find out more about it?

Yes - the title of her novel is Reese's Cowboy Kiss, and it can be found here for 3.99

Now it's my turn to tag the next author. I've selected historical western romance author, Kelli Ann Morgan.

KELLI ANN MORGAN recognized a passion for writing at a very young age and since that time has devoted herself to creativity of all sorts. Being a wife and mother are two of her most important and favorite roles, while being a writer is in her blood. She also moonlights as a Creative Designer - creating covers and more for other authors- and works as a photographer, jewelry designer, painter, and motivational speaker. Kelli Ann graduated Summa Cum Laude with her degree in Business and is the owner of Inspire Creative Services. She is a long-time member of the Romance Writers of America and was president of her local chapter in 2009. Her love of and talent for writing have opened many doors for her and she continues to look for new and exciting opportunities and calls to adventure.

New Release Coming Soon

Okay, so I've been writing. A lot. And editing a lot too. And what have I got to show for it?

That's right, kiddos - a brand new, contemporary western romance novel, which will be sold on Amazon starting Friday, July 12th. (Kindle $3.99 Paperback $9.89)

Cassie's Cowboy Crave is about a handsome cowboy from Montana, an adorable editor from Seattle, and a witness protection program that has them posing as husband and wife.

Here's my lovely cover, designed by the highly-talented Kelli Ann Morgan.

And here's a quick blurb about the book:

Twenty-four-year-old Cassie Lovell has a great job, good friends, and an apartment with a killer view. That is, until life is turned upside down. Without the chance to say goodbye, Cassie is forced into a witness protection program on Emerson Ranch. Just when she fears life is doomed, Cassie meets Shane Emerson, the stunningly handsome cowboy who’ll be posing as her newlywed groom.

Shane Emerson is determined not to fall for the woman he’s agreed to harbor. Especially since the whole thing was his family’s way of trying to get him hitched. So why is it when he takes Cassie into his home, Shane wants nothing more than to turn their make-believe marriage into more than just a sham?

In a moment of weakness, Shane steals a kiss.
In return, Cassie steals his heart.
Yet before they confess their undying love,
a hidden danger threatens to tear them apart.

So... check it out on Friday.
It'll be fun. And all the cool kids are doing it.
And you should also drink lots of water - since it's summer - so you don't dehydrate, you know?
You're welcome. Now have a good day and be sure to look both ways.
