It's a good way to see where you have holes in your plot. And hopefully by the time you actually finish your story, the query will be almost ready to go. Thanks for the link to the blog, I'll check it out. :)Ruth Jossehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08664678990038670303noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5201579771700441918.post-5037673622836479162011-05-17T10:12:13.440-07:002011-05-17T10:12:13.440-07:00Oooh thanks for the link to that blog! I also LOVE Query Shark from Janet Reid. Her archives of queries she's torn apart where the most helpful thing I've ever found. She breaks down the query as being simply a character in a conflict who must make a choice with consequences. It's still hard to write a query, but that advice has been the single most helpful thing I've ever found!Shalleehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09907680428735740943noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5201579771700441918.post-76058458095739895362011-05-17T08:20:02.543-07:002011-05-17T08:20:02.543-07:00I haven't queried yet, but I'm thinking of...I haven't queried yet, but I'm thinking of writing a test query for my novel-in-progress -- just for practice.
